ETRAK Consulting - What It Is and Why It Matters
While ETRAK is based in Birmingham, Alabama at Pure Performance, a sports performance training facility, we do get out of the office sometimes. One of our favorite services to provide is On-Site Consulting for sports academies and university athletics programs. We get to work with some incredible coaches and athletes and see some pretty cool places, all while doing what we love - talking performance and technology.
So what is ETRAK On-Site Consulting?
ETRAK On-Site Consulting looks a little different for every client, but is normally 2 days in length at your facility. These 2 days include some “classroom work” where we review performance principles and then a lot of hands-on practice with ETRAK technology and system in both your training facility and the weight room.
Since every academy and university program is at a different starting point, each consulting package looks a little different but includes time focused on each of the following four elements:
Education: First, we aim to give everyone a strong knowledge of human performance - what ideal performance is, how to evaluate performance, and how to prescribe effective training programs for each athlete. The education portion of each consulting package is dependent on your starting point. We can just work on mastering the basics or can dig deep if you have experience in strength and conditioning. All instructors/coaches who participate in a consulting package of 1.5+ days will be GMAP Certified as well.
Program Efficiency & Optimization: Next, we look at your current system. How do you evaluate athletes? How do you share/explain results with clients? How do you prescribe workouts? How and when do you re-evaluate? Where are the system painpoints - what could be better?
Workflow Development: Using the ETRAK system, we look at the answers to the questions above and streamline. We want your system to be two things - (1) efficient and (2) effective. With most clients, we will create a custom evaluation system based on your equipment, facility, and time available for each client. We will practice administering the evaluation and reviewing results.
Relationship Building: We want to be a resource for our clients. We are honored to work with each and every one of you, and we improve when you improve. After a consulting visit, we stay in touch with our GMAP-Certified instructors via our Instructor Portals and regular check-ins to see how things are going, tweak systems as needed, and keep learning.
